I have been teaching for nearly thirteen years. I have taught in Ireland for eight years before moving to Abu Dhabi where I have been teaching for almost five years. I have high expectations for all of my students and cater to all individual needs! My lessons are planned in advance. Topics selected by the student and their parents will inform my planning. Each lesson will have an oral English introduction and pleasantries before moving onto the lesson focus. Many of my students prefer to work on school tasks and although I cater for this I also like to teach my students language and history in the wider world through reading, multimedia and games. Initial assessments inform me of the level of my students and I then set appropriate goals for them focusing on their current ability and building on this towards our success criteria.
