Experience: I've been teaching for almost 30 years and love tutoring on the side. My teaching/tutoring strength lies with simplifying very complexed tasks and tailoring my sessions to students needs. Physics is my specialty subject but I am equally competent teaching Chemistry and Biology. I have experience tutoring curriculum content from General Science (KS2-3), Biology and Chemistry all the way up to senior secondary (KS4) and Physics (from KS4-5). I can tutor EMSAT Physics including A-Level Physics (based on all known curricula Cambridge, AQA, EDEXEL, OCR) and American AP Physics. Approach: I use a variety of resources like the TES (UK based) and other registered teaching agencies. I tutor using PowerPoints, YouTube videos (where applicable and for added effect) including and past exam questions to familiarise students with exam-style language. I can tutor online using TutorGenie's online classroom or face to face. This depends entirely on the student/family's preference. I use the school's curriculum and plan my resources around that to make sure all content is taught and covered for the exams or tests.
