I have been teaching for 12 years in the Middle East. In my 12 years I have taught in American, British and IB Curriculum. The subjects I have taught include Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Technical Graphics, Technology, ICT, Computer Science, Maths, Digital and Product Design. My specialty is for Middle Years (KS3) and Primary age students but can also do older grades. My style changes depending on the subject and the student as we all learn differently. I like to meet with the parent and the student to discuss expectations and devise a plan together that works best for the student. It is important for me to build strong relationships with my students and place special emphasis on exam techniques as well as core knowledge. Where possible I try to include a hands on learning approach to help enhance student learning. I feel there is no substitute for lots of Practice and ensuring the topic is explained in a way that is easy for the student.
