At TutorGenie, we seek to help parents and students make an informed choice when deciding who to learn with, as opposed to making that choice for them.
That being said, we are protective about who we allow to join and work through our platform.
Every tutor must have a valid Emirates ID and Police Clearance when signing up. They also need to complete a full profile before being set live on the site - otherwise, students cannot make the informed choice we seek to allow. This includes adding details of their qualifications, subjects, areas they cover, references, a profile photo and a bio.
If we deem that the experience listed does not point towards an ability to deliver expert, professional services, or that the prices listed will not be in line with our students’ expectations, we will not allow a tutor to use the platform.
Each new tutor must also:
Upload a copy of their photographic ID, which is automatically verified by our third-party payment provider, Stripe.
Submit proof of qualifications and experience to us in order to be given the "Verified Tutor" status.
